How do I stop phone calls from creditors or debt collectors?

If you have started to miss payments on your debts you may get phone calls from your creditors or debt collectors. They are allowed to contact you and ask you to repay money you owe, but they should act fairly.  There are laws and guidelines that describe how companies should behave when they are collecting debts. If a company ignores these guidelines and continues to treat you unfairly, get advice about what you can do. Phone National Debtline on 0808 808 4000 or visit the National Debtline website for more information.

My Money Steps will tell you what your options are and how to deal with your creditors.
